Want to know what song is playing on the radio? Love the tune but couldn’t figure out the title or artist?
With Shazam, you can identify tracks by simply tagging the songs. What it takes is a five second sample and 10 second search time to give you the result. The program works accurately, even in noisy coffee shops. It even recognizes Chinese Songs too!
The only draw back is that the free version only allows you to tag 5 tracks per month. The unlimited version will cost you $4.99, which in our opinion, still pricey.
However, there’s no harm downloading the apps just to have fun and to show off to your friends. You will be amazed by the technology.

Life Size Gundam is back, with a twist !
After show casing itself last summer in Tokyo’s Odaiba, the life size Gundam has returned, armed with a Beam Saber!
This coming July 2010, the Gundam monument will once again be erected in the city of Shizuoka, with Mount Fuji as background. The beam saber even glows itself!
Wonder if they will have a notice board saying: Warning: High Radiation!
What’s next? A beam rifle? Or a moving Gundam?

Would you like a Final Fantasy VII Remake?
In 2006, Square released a tech demo of FFVII on the PS3, show casing how FF will look like in the new platform.
FFVII is one of the most influential FF games that was brought to western gamers. It also marks the first time FF games featured 3D game play and CG cut scenes. The core element of JRPG was introduced and made popular to the west.
Due to its popularity, Squaresoft expanded the FFVII universe and created a few spin offs like Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core. It even features its own movie.
Our poll this week is “Would you like to see a FFVII remake?”
As for SushiGames, we fully support the remake!

I like to move it move it ^^ Playstation Move!
Sony's Motion Controller finally made its debut on the Playstation 3.
Its called the Playstation Move.
What motion controller does best is to provide casual gamer, or non gamer, a simple yet fun way to play games.
As you might know, the controller design is very much the same as the Nintendo Wii motion controller. Wii has long been the only console in the market that offers motion control and already sold millions since its release.
Eying such market potential, who wouldn't want a share of the pie chart? Playstation Move, however, seems more like a peripheral rather than a console driver. Its already too late for Sony to dive into the market. Unless it could redefine gaming, we don't see the potential of gamers paying another $100 just to have a 'casual' gaming experience. You can have a Nintendo Wii console plus the controller for $199 now.

An Apple (Apps) a Day Keeps the Boredom away - Zombie Farm
SushiGames recommends the following Apps for iPhone/iPod Touch.
What if you combine Plant vs Zombies and Farmville? You get Zombie Farm!
Bringing in the popular 'Farm' mechanics found on most Facebook games, Zombie Farm not only allows you to plant crops, but Zombies as well! Its like digging a grave and bury someone else, except that after certain time you have to harvest them and make them your army. The more you level up, the more crops and zombie types you will be able to harvest.
After you've gathered enough zombies, you can invade your AI neighbors. If your invasion is successful, you get reward either in cash or Brains... cute little brains actually. Think of it as Plants vs Zombies in another way round.
If farm game is your forte, look no further to Zombie Farm. What's more, its FREE! Now we're talking brains...

Psychology of Gaming - Part II
Fact no 5
Games are addictive simply because they offer achievements and awards.
People gained satisfaction and confidence when they achieved something. In a fast pace society, everybody wants achievements quick. Traditional games offers bonuses and items when you play through the game, but are quite challenging, thus not appealing to the wide casual audience.
Facebook games (e.g. Mafia Wars, Restaurant City, Pet Society etc.) are mostly achievement based. They offer a wide variety of short quest and are easily completed in short amount of time. Awards can be obtained by completing simple quest, thus encourage gamers to invest more time in the game. You might be asked to do simple missions like buying your first item or watering a plant, and WALA! You've earned yourself a medal!
What's more, you can even Brag and show off the achievements to your friends ^^
Addictive Level: 4/5
Fact no 6
Games are addictive simply because they are darn expensive and you want to play the game over and over again just to get enough value out of it.
So you've bought yourself a game and found out that it is totally not your kind of game. Instead of getting a refund, you simply torture yourself by playing through the game and trying to convince yourself that the game is not that bad. You don't want people to laugh at you for spending so much money and getting a crappy game that you don't deserve. You want to prove to others that you have invested good value of money into it.
This kind of situation often happens during the first launch of a new generation consoles. Most new launch titles has top notch graphics, but are simply crap when it comes to game play. Apart from one or two exclusives, most of the titles are either rushed or for game developers to test out the capability of the new hardware.
In fact, you will wow yourself for the first few hours admiring the graphics, then regret the next day condemning your impulse buying act.
Addictive Level: 2/5
Fact no 7
Games are addictive simply because they keep updating and add new items and quests. There is no way you are going to finish it!
E.g. World of Warcraft... One sentence...
THIS GAME WILL SUCK YOUR LIFE DRY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Addictive Level: 5/5

Psychology of Gaming - Part I
Fact no 1
Games are addictive simply because they are challenging.
In platform games like Megaman and Contra, you DIE A LOT! Good reflexes, memory and timing is required to understand your enemy's attack pattern. Gaining these skills require a lot patience and practice. To beat the game one will have to invest huge amount of time and take the game seriously because
DYING A LOT IS SERIOUS BUSINESS HERE!
Addictive level: 5/5
Fact no 2
Games are addictive simply because they require skills.
In fighting games, you won't beat a skillful opponent by simply mashing buttons. If you happen to beat a veteran gamer by button mashing, the game DOES NOT REQUIRE SKILLS!
The fact is, people invest a lot of time practicing their hadokens, mastering combos, and timed their counters right. To them, launching a hadoken or super combo becomes a habitual practice, like flushing a toilet after use.
Addictive Level: 4/5
Fact no 3
Games are addictive simply because they offer great re-playability.
In puzzle games like Tetris, Bejeweled and Solitaire, the rules are simple, easy to understand, and fun to play. Most puzzle games are either given time limit, or endless. The objective of the game is to score as much points as possible.
Such simple game, surprisingly, can be quite addictive. Many gamers spent countless hours replaying the game over and over again, just for a single goal: To Beat The High Score.
Addictive Level: 3/5
Fact no 4
Games are addictive simply because they have intriguing story and action
Modern games like, well, Modern Warfare provides the so call 'Hollywood Blockbuster' experience by throwing you into a battlefield full of chaos, explosion and intense action. Combined with mind blowing effects and sound, the game will keep you on the sofa even if you want to go pee pee.
Addictive Level: 2/5

Final Fantasy XIII English Version Coming Soon
Final Fantasy makes its first debut to the PS3 after 5 years of absence. Those who followed the Japanese version should know that the game play is extremely linear. The battle system, however, is one of the best of the series. With great in game rendered graphics, its hard to tell which is real time and which is pre-rendered. This is also the first time the games has accurate lip sync that follow the English voice acting itself. Not the best of the series, but still a welcome especially to international FF fans.
Release date: 9th of March 2010.
